Horst Dietz Becomes an Honorary Member

Dr.-Ing. Horst Dietz was appointed as honorary member during the 13th members’ assembly of the Leopoldina Academy Circle of Friends reg. Ass. on the 11th of October 2021 because of his outstanding services and commitment to the Leopoldina.

Federal President Gauck bestowed the Order Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (“am Bande”) to the Chairperson of the Board of the Leopoldina Academy Circle of Friends reg. ass., Dr.-Ing. Horst Dietz on the 19th of December 2015.
Horst Dietz is, among many things, honoured for his many years of extraordinary service and commitment to the Leopoldina Academy Circle of Friends reg. ass.
As one of the founding members in 2007 and Chairperson ever since, Horst Dietz established the Freundeskreis as an important institution of support and was crucial in making said support possible to allow the Leopoldina to succeed in all of its different activities, projects and task.
With this in mind, the Board congratulates Horst Dietz in the name of the Leopoldina Academy Circle of Friends reg. ass. on this award and sincerely thanks him for his tremendous commitment.
